Peter Burr: Responsive Eye
Author/Editor: Clark Buckner
CONTENTS
An extension of Peter Burr’s Responsive Eye, a solo exhibition of animation, augmented reality, video-game and computer-generated art exhibited at Telematic Media Arts January 15–March 27, 2021. The works presented here appeal to the aesthetics and conceptual concerns of Minimalism and Op-Art—mining their intersections with the mathematical abstractions of digital culture—to explore the dissonant contradictions, ecstatic visceral enjoyments and annihilating self-destruction in the irrationality of life on the grid. Edited with an essay by Clark Buckner. Additional Essay by Vanessa Chang. Interview with Peter Burr by Daniel Glendening. Designed by Eric Timothy Carlson.
