…and then god became disoriented in the forest of higher animals…

J.G. Chapman In Person

Victoria Theatre

San Francisco Cinematheque and non productions present
…higher animals., J.G. Chapman’s latest Sisyphian boulder, straight from the processing machine. In this moody experiment, the thoughts and lives of three future westerners hang on a thread-bare clothes line of a narrative. This anti-commodity examines: mindless broadcasting, sexual frustration, the antiquity of the handmade, the abyss of aging, the criminal nature of business, the separation of humankind from the planet that created it, and the needless invention of the word art, among other themes. Preceded by selected shorts including the nationally toured MTV basher, meet the thinking fellers.
