First Festival Celluloidall

San Francisco Art Institute

Join Timoleon Wilkins, publisher of the local homespun movie magazine Celluloidall, in its first ever celebration of incredible, projectable film! Selected from submissions by readers from all over the country, the films range from backyard home movies to the poetic, avant-garde and narrative. What these filmmakers have in common is the often painful, considered and overriding passion which could only come from those who continue to be engaged with a living art. Tonight’s program will feature a rare screening of Bruce Conner’s Luke (1967), in which Conner exposes the behind the scenes workings of the feature film Cool Hand Luke. Also, Blue Sun Western (1995) a new film from Timoleon Wilkins, and festival entries TBA.
