Checking off a “bucket list” item, video artist Dale Hoyt created an unsolicited commencement speech to the 2020* graduating class of his alma mater, the San Francisco Art Institute with the speech delivered via YouTube. Also printed as a broadside by Morrison Productions, San Francisco, Fear is the Opposite of Art includes Dale’s original text and annotations and is available for a limited time from San Francisco Cinematheque (*and, yes, the poster identifies the speech as 2021).

Proceeds from all sales will support Let’s Put Dale in His Place.
