The Whom

Bill Berskon/Doug Hall/George Kuchar

Yerba Buena Center for the Arts

Tonight we feature new work by three artists long associated with the San Francisco Art Institute, whose creative energies move freely between mediums and genres. Bill Berkson is the author of 11 volumes of poetry, and his art criticism appears in Artforum and Art In America. Bill will read a selection of his recent poetry. Doug Hall’s media installations have shown in museums throughout the world, and he recently completed a residency at the American Academy in Rome. Doug will premiere Terminal Landscape for slides, video projection and audio. George Kuchar has made hundreds of films and videos since the 1950s, and he has inspired several generations of young artists. George will premiere Uncle Evil, Bargain Basement Bumpkin, and others. Co-sponsored by the Walter/McBean Gallery.
